(1)About Formula 1
Formula 1 is the pinnacle of single-seater motorsport, featuring 20 drivers across 10 constructor teams competing in 24 Grand Prix races on purpose-built circuits, temporary street courses, and hybrid tracks around the world. The 2026 season marks a watershed moment for the sport with the introduction of entirely new power unit regulations that increase electrical energy output to roughly 50% of total power โ the most significant technical overhaul since the turbo-hybrid era began in 2014.
The 2026 regulations also introduce simplified aerodynamics designed to promote closer racing and more overtaking opportunities. Active aerodynamic elements, previously banned, return in a controlled form with adjustable front and rear wing elements that drivers can deploy manually. Combined with the new power units, these changes are expected to produce the most competitive and visually distinctive cars in F1 history.
In the United States, Formula 1 has experienced unprecedented growth in viewership and fan engagement, driven largely by Netflix's "Drive to Survive" documentary series and the addition of three American races to the calendar. ESPN carries all F1 sessions โ practice, qualifying, Sprint races, and Grand Prix races โ using Sky Sports F1's world-class commentary team. Critically, ESPN broadcasts F1 without mid-race commercial breaks, offering uninterrupted coverage from lights out to checkered flag.
F1 TV Pro ($9.99/month or $79.99/year) provides the most comprehensive F1 viewing experience available anywhere. The service streams every session live with exclusive features including all 20 onboard driver cameras, live unfiltered team radio communications, real-time telemetry and timing data, interactive driver tracker with GPS positioning, and multiple commentary options. F1 TV Pro also includes a complete race archive stretching back to 1981.
The 10 constructor teams โ Red Bull Racing, Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine, Williams, RB (VCARB), Kick Sauber, and Haas โ each field two cars. The World Championship consists of two parallel competitions: the Drivers' Championship (individual) and the Constructors' Championship (team). Points are awarded to the top 10 finishers at each Grand Prix, with 25 points for a win down to 1 point for 10th place. The Sprint Race awards points to the top 8.
StreamEast tracks every F1 session across the 2026 calendar with streaming platform details, session times, and circuit information for all 24 Grand Prix weekends.
